Women in PR Ghana Seminar Speaker: Prof Audrey Gadzekpo

Audrey Gadzekpo, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Department of Communication Studies and the Dean of the School of Information and Communication Studies, University of Ghana. She has more than 24 years of experience in teaching, research and advocacy on media, gender and governance, and more than 28 years practical experience as a journalist, working variously as a reporter, editor, contributor, columnist, talk show host, socio-political commentator, and magazine publisher/editor.

The Power of Storytelling in Shaping Public Perception

She serves on a number of local and international boards, including CDD-Ghana, PANOS-West Africa and West Africa Democracy Radio (WADR).

She attended Achimota Primary from 1967-1973; Achimota Secondary School from 1973-1978; OLA Girls Secondary School from 1978-1980; University of Ghana from 1980 to 1984 (B.A. English and History); Brigham Young University in USA from 1985-1987 (M.A communications) and Birmingham University in the U.K. from 1998-2001 (PhD, African Studies).

Women in PR Ghana Seminar event is organized by E’April Public Relations in partnership with the Institute of Public Relations Ghana and sponsored by Voltic Ghana, L’Oréal Ghana and partnered by African University College of Communications (AUCC), Webster University Ghana Campus, Business and Financial Times, Daily PR Africa, Shotbyese and George Britton.
