The event by P World in partnership with PRCAN from Nigeria, Brand Communications and IPR Ghana, and PRAU from Uganda will have public relations experts from across the world present.

The Global PR Trends Summit Accra is all about building a creative community that will provide PR professionals with support, value and opportunity to make things happen. Our African colleagues will have the unique opportunity to spend two days surrounded by some of the most stimulating and forward-thinking people in the world – the instant cure to a creative burnout,” says a statement by Kosta Petrov, P World’s CEO and organiser of the Global PR Summit Accra.

The two-day international gathering would begin with a presentation by President, Institute of Public Relations, Elaine Sam on the ‘current trends and challenges in the West African PR industry’.

There will also be presentations on ‘social media and PR’ by Lars Silberbauer of Lego, Rose Bambi of Cisco, Alex Malouf of P&G and Irina Pashina of SAP, ‘nation branding’ by Amy Gray of Visit Britain, as well as presentations on ‘CSR’ by Karim Seifeddine of Citi and Omneya Fawzy of Boehringer Ingelheim as well as ‘reputation management’ by Colleen Harris, former Press Secretary to Princes Charles William and Harry.

Other speakers are Ghanaian president John Dramani Mahama, Executive Chairman, JEAP & Associates (Ghana) Limited, Joseph Emmanuel Allotey-Pappoe and Programme Leader, Masters at Greenwich University, Jonathan Wilson.

Nigeria’s leading private news distribution portal, PRNigeria, is the media partner to the event in West Africa.

The Global PR Summit has been hosted in various countries including Qatar, Turkey, Oman, Azerbaijan, Russia, Czech Republic, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.
